Savory Thymes asks that guests park at Mill Valley Middle School at 425 Sycamore Avenue in Mill Valley, CA 94941. There will be a shuttle running from the parking lot at the school to the venue (a 5 minute ride). Shuttle service will start at 5:45 pm. Kindly leave your cocktail attire behind and wear warm clothes for eating and comfortable shoes for outdoor, rugged terrain.

Swamp Cabbage is a feature-length documentary about Hayley Downs, a half-Cracker* stuck in Brooklyn who discovers that the eccentric Florida childhood she fled is the key to surviving love and loss in an increasingly disconnected world.

*In Florida, "Cracker" is a term of pride referring to the descendants of pioneers known for their ability to survive in the treacherous Florida wilderness. It is unrelated to the slur meaning ignorant bigot.

The mission of Savory Thymes is to convene artists, grassroots organizations and activists in order to cross pollinate ideas, build relationships and alliances, and provide a space to galvanize support for a wide variety of social and environmental initiatives. Established in 2005 by Ali Ghiorse, Savory Thymes supports and educates the public about local and sustainable systems within the context of grassroots movements and the arts, through events that celebrate the beauty, the tastes, and the textures of the Earth.
